I am amazed at how much the AGAF Volleyball League families continually give back to our community. Time and time again our families step to support AGAF community outreach programs. In October 2014 our players and families wore purple and donated $800 worth of personal care items and $350 in cash donations to the Chrysalis family crisis shelter (www.noabuse.org).
Also in October 2014 (one week later, actually) AGAF players and their families wore pink and helped AGAF donate $700 to the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center for Breast Cancer Research (http://www.shc.org/medical-services/cancer-care). And just this past week AGAF families donated $225 to AGAF on Giving Tuesday on December 2, 2014 to help us continue to fund The AGAF Serve It Forward Scholarship Program so that all girls can play volleyball with AGAF regardless of their financial abilities and helped us purchase much needed new volleyballs (https://azgirlsathleticfoundation.org/initiatives-2/serve-it-forward/).
And then our players and their families came together yet again this past Saturday December 6, 2014 and donated over 105 pounds of food to the Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank and together we donated $135.00 in cash donations (www.pvefb.org).
The power of people, the power of family, and the power of community continue to inspire me and The Arizona Girls’ Athletic Foundation.
Thank you AGAF families for supporting AGAF and our community outreach programs. We could not do this without you!
